The Golden Rule: Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you. What is it that naturally occurs within a person to want to do what’s right? Hear me out.
A person is immediately confronted with an opportunity to make a choice; do I follow my old reaction patterns (nature, nurture, and trained behaviour through repetitive choices), or, do I bring myself to focus, be in the moment, and consciously choose through subjective observation to go against that and do what’s for that individual the way I would have them do to me in like circumstance?
It is our thoughts, not our feelings that lead us Godward, and no shortage of effort will handle this task.
Come with me, let’s discuss the Golden Rule, have a few laughs, and start the conversation about how to apply this to our daily living.
Far too often we will mindlessly choose our old reaction habits because of comfort, ease, selfish intent. Nothing short of effort, struggle, conflict, faith, determination, love, loyalty, and progress will meet with success, and for every once of effort we can expect slow forward progress as our reward.
