In 1969, as a young man searching for answers to the great questions of life, Martin Hausner’s life took an unexpected turn as he began to study the sacred teachings of India, especially of the renowned spiritual master A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami.

He describes that moment thus: “It was as if everything I studied was already known to my soul and it was just being drawn out.” It was wisdom that made him see the world in a new way, one through which he could make perfect sense of his own life while experiencing levels of satisfaction and happiness he never knew existed.

Martin was so moved and transformed that he became convinced that sharing what he just discovered was the best service he could offer the world. He accepted A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami as his guru, made spiritual vows, and was given the name “Mahatma Das”.

Today, Mahatma Das is himself a guide to thousands across the world. With humour, enthusiasm and an abundance of practical wisdom earned over years of study of sacred teachings as well as Western philosophy and psychology, he facilitates workshops on spiritual self-development. Utilizing principles that are simple yet incredibly powerful, he is transforming individuals and organizations.
